Franciscan Food Center
Volunteers Needed for Food Center Deliveries on Wednesdays
Volunteer Position: Food Delivery Team
Requested time/dates: Wednesdays, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Requested skills include:
- able to safely lift 30-50 lbs
- comfortable standing and moving for a couple of hours at a time
Attributes of the Volunteer Role:
A fun-loving, up-beat group, the Delivery Team for the Food Center works together on Wednesdays to unload the weekly delivery from the truck and stock the Food Center shelves. The Delivery Team includes 10-12 people who work together to effectively move about 5000 lbs of food. The team is a close-knit group that includes people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures. We are looking to add 2-4 new volunteers to this group.
Minimum Requested Time Commitment:
Two Wednesdays per month from 1:00pm – 3:00pm.

Nurses
The Wellness Center
is seeking volunteer
Nurses, specifically RNs, and LPNs. Please contact Sr. Pat Barrett, FMM at 617-542-6440. Or stop by the

Translators
The Wellness Center is seeking volunteer translators in French, Haitian Creole,
and Vietnamese for special Center functions. If you have a few hours to spare,
please consider volunteering as a translator for the Wellness Center. Interested
parties should email volunteers@stanthonyshrine.org.
Development Office
St. Anthony Shrine’s Development Office needs volunteers several times a year to greet worshippers, distribute materials, work at street fairs and other special events, and stuff envelopes. If you would like us to contact you when we are in need of volunteers, please call the Development Office at 617-542-6440 Ext. 232.
